Southeast Medical Center Opens For Clinical Care!

The Compass Medical, P.C. 70,000 Square Foot Facility Opened on July 30th
First patients arrive at 7:00 a.m.

EAST BRIDGEATER, MA – Less than one year after Compass Medical, P.C. broke ground at 1 Compass Way on Route 18 in East Bridgewater, the Southeast Medical Center (SMC) officially opened for business at 7:00 a.m. on Monday, July 30th. The first two patients arrived promptly, despite torrential downpours, to see Drs. Bruce Weinstein and John Cavallo. Compass Medical, P.C. closed its Whitman location on Friday, July 27th.

All residents of Southeastern Massachusetts
will benefit from easy access to comprehensive primary and specialty care, as well as testing services, including laboratory and comprehensive digital radiology services:   X-Ray; 64 Slice CT Scan; Bone Densitometry; Digital Mammography; Ultrasound; and MRI.

During the 2006 groundbreaking ceremony, Senator Brian Joyce said that the new center is, “a booster shot to East Bridgewater’s public health and economy.” In addition, State Representative Kathleen Teahan, who served on the House of Representatives health care committee, said, “Southeast Medical Center will help form a great network of care for residents of East Bridgewater, Whitman, Abington and Brockton.” She also pointed out that the economic benefit is equally important.
