Podiatry:
Dr. Joyce Child, DPM has been with us since 2000. She graduated from Temple School of Podiatry in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania with a 2 year residency in Roger Williams Hospital in Providence R.I. Dr. Child treats ailments such as ingrown nails, diabetic foot care, corns, callous’, all aspects of pain in the foot and ankle, and more.

Nutrition:
Gail Williams, RD, LDN and Sandy Ambrose, RD, LDN, CDE head our nutrition team. Gail started with us part-time February of 1990 and full-time in October 1996 and is our only full time registered dietitian. Sandy has been with us for over 20 years as a part-time dietitian. Our Medical Nutrition Services are able to assist patients with complicated diagnosis, which include but not limited to Diabetes, Renal, GI disorders, cardiac, and weight goals. Gail splits her time between our Taunton and East Bridgewater locations. Sandy is available in East Bridgewater on Friday afternoons and evenings. To schedule an appointment, call (508) 350-2222
Diabetic Education:
Lynne MacKay, CDE, RN, is our nurse Certified Diabetic Educator. The Diabetic Self Management program was started in 1996. This program was certified for the first time in 2006, one of 100 certified programs in Massachusetts. This program is designed with a team approach, between patient, dietitian, educator, and physician. The program consists of 3, 1 hour classes covering basic knowledge of blood sugar control to more advanced pump classes. It is open to all Compass patients interested in controlling their diabetes through better knowledge of the disease.

Urology:
Dr. Warren Gilbert, MD, FACS is a University-trained, Board- Certified Urologist. Dr. Gilbert attended Colgate University, graduating in 1959 and Tufts University School of Medicine graduating in 1963. After serving as a physician in the Navy he began practicing Urology in Southeastern Massachusetts in 1971.
Dr. Gilbert focuses on total urologic health and function. He specializes in conditions including, but not limited to Urinary tract infections, blood in the urine, bladder control issues, prostate diseases, cancers of the bladder, kidney, testes, and prostate, male and female incontinence, impotence, and kidney disease. Many urologic procedures can be performed in the office setting and cost less than completed in a hospital.

Rheumatology:
Dr. Sperling earned his medical degree at the Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, New York. He completed his fellowship and residency at Albert Einstein affiliated Hospitals and the Bronx Municipal Hospital in Bronx, New York. He is Board Certified in Internal Medicine and Rheumatology. Dr. Sperling dedicates all of his time to clinical care. He is a fellow of the American College of Physicians and of the American College of Rheumatology and is heavily involved in multi-center clinical studies and research.
